An official IDOC inspection dated March 20, 2024 describes the local jail rather than named detainees. It recorded 21 double cells, two single and three double detention rooms, and one eight-person dorm. Staffing listed six full-time male and two full-time female jail staff, plus four part-time staff.
The inspection reported that 228 of 266 sampled observation checks met required timing and made a recommendation about kitchen-inspection documentation. These are dated findings, not proof of a current violation. The report supports the distinction between facility oversight and an individual Perry County arrest record.
The same report notes signed property receipts and restricted youth records. Those operational facts help explain booking practice, but they do not make internal classification, medical, observation, or juvenile information part of a public arrest profile.
